Meet Susana Muñoz,
LPC, LMHC, Psychotherapeutic Yoga Practitioner

Susana Munoz, LPC, therapist for women, mothers, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and postpartum support in Fort Worth, Texas

Hi, I’m Susana. I’m a first-generation Latina and a mom, and like many of the people I work with, my own healing journey became deeper through motherhood. Becoming a mother made me more aware of the patterns, expectations, and old wounds I wanted to better understand, heal, and not continue passing forward.

I started Luciana Mental Health because I believe therapy can be a powerful space to break cycles, reconnect with yourself, and create the kind of life and relationships you want, not just for the next generation, but for you, right now. So many of us move through life feeling burdened by old roles, survival patterns, or expectations that no longer fit. Therapy offers space to lay some of that down, reconnect with your values, and begin living in a way that feels more true, free, and meaningful.

Our Story

Luciana Mental Health is named after my grandmother, Luciana, lovingly known as “Chana.” The flowers in the logo represent my grandmother Juana. Together, they are part of the roots of this practice: family, resilience, sacrifice, tenderness, and the quiet strength passed down through generations. My grandmothers were the backbone of their families. Like many women in our communities, they carried so much with very little space to name what they were carrying. They were strong, devoted, protective, and enduring. They loved deeply and showed up faithfully, often while carrying their own grief, exhaustion, and pain in silence. In many families and cultures, we are taught that feelings are weakness, that rest must be earned, that asking for help makes us a burden, and that survival means staying quiet and pushing through. We inherit so much from those who came before us, both the beauty that connects us and the burdens that were never meant to be carried alone. At Luciana Mental Health, I believe our stories are shaped by what we inherit, but they are not limited by it. Therapy can be a space to honor where you come from while also creating room for honesty, healing, choice, and change. This practice is rooted in remembering the women who endured before us, while also making space for future generations to live with more softness, freedom, and wholeness. Your story may have started before you, but healing can begin with you.
